Introducing Vizzu Swipe: Explore Your Data Stories on Mobile

Vizzu Swipe is our first step toward bringing Vizzu’s visual data analysis to mobile. It’s not a full editor (yet), but it lets you explore and tweak your data stories in a completely new way—just by swiping.

Until now, Vizzu was desktop-only, you needed a computer to build up your vizzus. But what if you could quickly analyze your data and refine your narrative on the go?

With Vizzu Swipe, you can navigate through your data and create easy-to-grasp charts effortlessly. Instead of clicking buttons or menus, you swipe to pivot your data, switch categories, add or remove values, and adjust the way your data is presented. It’s an entirely new way to explore your data.

How It Works

Right now, you still need a desktop to upload data and create your first vizzu. On mobile, Vizzu Swipe creates a copy of your vizzu, so you’re always working with a fresh version based on the same dataset. You’re free to explore, tweak, and build something new—without touching the original story.

Swipe Controls

Once you open a vizzu, an initial chart is automatically generated. From there, you can modify it using simple swipes:

Swipe left or right to change the x-axis category.

‍Swipe up or down from the middle to change the y-axis value.

Swipe up from the bottom to add an extra category and down from the top to remove one.

Swipe right from the y-axis to add another value and turn the chart into a scatterplot or by repeating the step, into a bubble plot.

Swipe left from the edge to remove values.

Swipe up or down on the legend to switch categories.

Every swipe creates a new view of your data. You’re always making one small change at a time, so it’s easy to see how each step affects your story. And whenever you find a view you like, you can save it with a tap on '+', building up your story piece by piece. When you’re ready, just hit ‘Play’ and watch your story unfold.
